Bia! zine explores memory and migration in Global Majority* communities in Ireland through food.

Bia! Zine started in 2022 by Victory Nwabu-Ekeoma as a zine exploring her relationship to her Nigerian-Irish identity and memories and a space to document the commonality between immigrant and diasporic communities in Ireland through food.

Overtime, Bia! has become a participatory publishing project celebrating how immigrant and diasporic communities assert their presence in Ireland through food and creating a space for intergenerational and cross-cultural dialogue around our memories, culinary histories, heritage, lived experiences and collective hopes.

* Global majority refers to people who are African, Asian, Latin American, of mixed-heritage, Indigenous to the Global South or have been racialised as 'ethnic minorities’.
